TENS (Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation) offers safe, drug-free pain relief by gently stimulating nerves and encouraging the release of endorphins (your body’s natural painkillers).
Hire the Elle TENS 2 for your birth, a trusted tool recommended by midwives. With large maternity electrode pads, an easy Boost Button for contractions, and a portable design, it’s perfect for use at home in early labour and in hospital.

Bond Payment Required
A fully refundable bond of $50 is required with each TENS machine hire. This bond helps cover any loss or damage to the device during the hire period.
Your bond will be refunded in full once the TENS machine is returned on time, in good working condition, with all accessories included.

TENS HIRE- Terms & Conditions
1. Usage & Safety

The TENS machine must only be used in accordance with the instructions provided in the hire kit.

The effectiveness of the TENS machine in labour is not guaranteed by Lulabloom.

Contraindications: Do not use if you have a cardiac pacemaker, cochlear implant, epilepsy, or heart condition. If unsure, consult your healthcare provider before use.

The TENS machine must not be used in water. Remove the unit before entering a bath, birthing pool, or shower.

The TENS unit must only be used once your pregnancy reaches full term (37 weeks or later).
2. Booking, Payment & Bond

A $50 refundable bond is required to secure your booking. It will be returned in full once the machine is returned in good working order and with all components.

The bond does not cover lost or missing parts but does cover late return fees.
3. Returns, Late Fees & Replacements

Failure to return the TENS unit by the agreed return date will incur a late fee of $10 per week (or part thereof) until the unit is returned.

If the unit is not returned, the hirer will be charged the full replacement cost of $220 NZD (which includes batteries and the storage case).

If parts are missing or damaged, the following replacement fees apply:

Each Lead Cable: $25

The TENS unit must be returned using the prepaid return bag provided. If lost, please contact Lulabloom for instructions.
4. Cancellations & Refunds

If you cancel before dispatch, a refund will be issued minus a $10 admin fee (plus the full bond).

Once the unit has been dispatched, no refunds will be issued, even if it is unused.

If the unit does not arrive in time for your labour, no refund is available once it has been dispatched.
5. Shipping & Delivery

We aim to dispatch your unit in time for use at 37 weeks gestation. Delivery is usually overnight to main centres, or 3+ days for rural addresses.

Delivery delays may occur due to third-party couriers, weather events, or early labour. Lulabloom is not liable for delayed deliveries.

If your TENS machine does not arrive by the expected date, it is your responsibility to contact us promptly so we can assist with tracking.
6. Responsibility & Liability

All units are checked and tested prior to dispatch. However, Lulabloom’s liability is limited to the hire fee paid.

On receiving your hire kit, please check all contents and notify us immediately of any issues. We cannot assist with problems discovered only at time of labour.
7. General
-
Lulabloom is a New Zealand-owned business. All transactions are processed in NZD.

“Lulabloom” will appear on your credit card statement.
